Limited drug is a drug that actually includes hard drugs but can still be sold or purchased freely without a doctor's prescription, and is accompanied by a warning, a special sign on the packaging. The purpose of this study was to obtain in-depth information about the Behavior of Adolescents in the Abuse of Limited Cough Drugs in the Bente Village of Mandah Subdistrict, Indragiri Hilir Regency in 2019. This research used qualitative research with phenomenological design. This research was conducted in Bente Village. The variables of this study were knowledge, attitudes, peers, health workers, community and family leaders. Data collection is done through in-depth interviews. The technique of checking the validity of the data is the triangulation method. Data were analyzed using content analysis approach. The results of this study indicate that the knowledge of adolescents about the abuse of free cough medicine is limited, the attitude of adolescents in the abuse of cough free drugs is limited, namely negative, the influence of peers on the abuse of cough medicines. From health workers, it was found that counseling activities on adolescent behavior had been carried out in schools but not in the regions. Regarding community leaders about adolescents who abuse cough medicines, it is known that they have a poor response. Against families about the abuse of cough medicines made by teenagers get that families do not supervise teenagers when outside the home. It can be concluded that the behavior of adolescents in the abuse of limited free cough medicines can be influenced by knowledge, attitudes, peers, health workers, community leaders and families.
