Abstract

ICD-10 (Intenation Statistical Classification of diseases and Realted Health Problem Tenth Revision) is a clarification of international standard diagnoses for all general epidemiological purposes and various health management purposes, coding is a code determination using letters or numbers and a combination of letters in numbers representing components data. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of accuracy of coding low back pain in Indrasari Rengat Hospital in 2019.

The research method used is descriptive. This research was conducted in the medical record unit of the coding section at the Indrasari Rengat Hospital. Where the implementation of this research was conducted in September - March 2020, the population in this study all the files of low back pain medical records in September 2019 amounted to 72 medical record files at Indrasari Rengat Hospital in 2019. The sample in this study were several medical record files The medical record unit was coded at the Indrasari Rengat Hospital in 2019 with 82 samples. Data analysis uses univariate analysis to see the frequency and percentage of each variable using the SPSS version 24.0 program.

The results obtained are the accuracy of the coding of medical record officers based on ICD-10 for the diagnosis of Low Back Pain in Indrasari Rengat Hospital in 2019 at the most inaccurate namely 45 people (68.2%) and the most complete is 58 people (87.9%) .

The conclusion that the highest level of accuracy is accurate and the most complete level of incomplete coding of medical records officers based on ICD-10 for the diagnosis of Low Back Pain in the Indrasari Rengat Hospital in 2019.
