Abstract

This community outreach initiative aims to instill commendable traits and an Islamic entrepreneurial mindset among the students of Rumah Tahfizh Al-Khairat, located on Jl. Bandeng, Pekanbaru. As non-formal educational entities, tahfizh institutions play a vital role in shaping religious and independent youth. However, many still prioritize Qur'anic memorization over structured character building and entrepreneurial literacy. To address this, the program utilized a Participatory Action Research (PAR) framework, encompassing observation, socialization, training, mentoring, and assessment stages. The activities involved interactive discussions, storytelling of the Prophet's companions, role-playing, basic sharia-compliant trade simulations, and ongoing support for educators and parents. The primary participants were the young Qur'an memorizers and their mentors. The findings revealed a notable improvement in the students' grasp of moral values, including discipline, honesty, accountability, and empathy. Furthermore, they developed a foundational awareness of Islamic economic principles, such as fairness, muamalah ethics, and the prohibition of usury (riba). Ultimately, this initiative advocates for the incorporation of moral and entrepreneurial education into the tahfizh curriculum to produce future Qur'an memorizers who are financially self-reliant, highly moral, and ready to navigate future economic landscapes.
